Claire Keast-Butler

My practice focuses on capital markets transactions, representing issuers, investment banks and investors on initial public offerings and secondary offerings. I also advise listed companies on corporate and securities law matters and corporate governance. I am based in Cooley’s London office and my practice focuses primarily on London Stock Exchange listings. In recent years, I have also advised a number of UK companies either dual-listed or solely listed in the United States. I have been recognized by Chambers and Legal 500 in the UK for my work in capital markets.

Why Cooley?

I joined Cooley last year from another global law firm. It was a unique opportunity to join a firm that has a standout capital markets practice in the US and was already very active in the UK and across Europe even though the London office only opened in 2015. An equally big draw was the opportunity to be part of a genuine global capital markets team that collaborates across geographies, and with other practice areas across the firm, to provide the best possible service for our clients.

Some of the clients with whom I work

I have been fortunate to work with innovative and market-leading companies across industries. Recent examples include Autolus Therapeutics, Domestic & General, FFI, LivaNova, Lonmin, Mereo BioPharma, RPC Group, Silence Therapeutics, Verona Pharma and Wizz Air. I also represent leading investment banks on capital markets transactions.
